Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 September 2026
Macrovelo is operated by ERISBIO SRL, a company registered in Romania (VAT RO33843116), with its registered office at Bdul. Independenței 266, Brăila, Romania ("we", "us", "our").
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and ERISBIO SRL and govern your access to and use of the Macrovelo website, mobile and web applications, AI features, and all related products and services (together, the "Service"). They apply to every visitor, registered user, trial user, and paying subscriber.
By creating an account, ticking a box that references these Terms, starting a free trial, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by the documents incorporated into them (the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refunds & Cancellation policy, and Medical & AI Disclaimer). If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.
Please read these Terms carefully. Section 15 (Disclaimers), Section 16 (Limitation of liability), Section 17 (Indemnity), and Section 20 (Governing law and disputes) contain important provisions that limit our liability and affect your legal rights. Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the mandatory law of your country of residence.

2. Who we are and how to contact us
The Service is provided by ERISBIO SRL, a company registered in Romania under Trade Register number ROONRC.J2014000589092, fiscal code / VAT RO33843116, with its registered office at Bdul. Independenței 266, Brăila, Romania.
You can reach us for any question about these Terms or the Service at [email protected], and for privacy or data-protection matters at [email protected]. Full statutory company identification is set out on our Legal Notice (Imprint) page, which forms part of these Terms.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract in your country of residence to use the Service. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.
The Service is designed for healthy adults. It is not designed for, and must not be used by, children, or by anyone for whom a change of diet or exercise — including a ketogenic or low-carbohydrate program — may be unsafe without medical supervision (see Section 4 and our Medical & AI Disclaimer).
When you create an account you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us promptly at the contact address above if you suspect any unauthorized access or use. We are not liable for loss arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials, except to the extent caused by our own fault or required otherwise by law. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account, and you may not create an account using another person's identity or payment method without authorization.
4. Nature of the Service — not medical advice
Macrovelo provides personalized meal-planning, workout plans, educational content, an AI coach, progress tracking, and a photo-based food estimator. It is a lifestyle, wellness, and educational tool only.
The Service is not a medical device, is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition, and does not provide medical, nutritional, diagnostic, psychological, or treatment advice. No doctor–patient, dietitian–client, or other professional relationship is created by your use of the Service.
You should always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting, stopping, or changing any diet or exercise programme, and in particular if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy; under 18; or have or have had diabetes, kidney, liver, gallbladder, heart, or thyroid conditions, an eating disorder, or any other medical condition, or if you take prescription medication. Stop using the Service and seek medical help if you feel unwell. The Medical & AI Disclaimer forms part of these Terms and contains further important information.
5. Subscriptions, trials, and automatic renewal
Paid plans are sold as recurring subscriptions that renew automatically. Unless and until you cancel, your subscription will renew at the end of each billing period (for example monthly, quarterly, or annually, as selected) and your payment method will be charged the then-current price for the next period.
Before you confirm payment, we clearly and conspicuously disclose the price, the billing frequency, the length of any free trial, and the fact that the subscription renews automatically until cancelled. You provide affirmative consent to these terms at checkout. Where a free trial is offered, you must provide a valid payment method at checkout (you are charged €0 today); the trial automatically converts into a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before the trial ends.
As a matter of policy, and where required by law, we send you a reminder before a paid renewal (including before a free trial converts to a paid plan and before longer-term renewals), together with the renewal price and a link to cancel. It remains your responsibility to cancel before a renewal if you do not wish to be charged.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time, online, in one click, from your account settings or the customer portal — without phone calls, retention offers, or other obstacles.
When you cancel a paid plan, your cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you keep access to paid features until then, and you are not charged again. We do not pro-rate or refund part-periods unless this is required by law or expressly stated in our Refunds & Cancellation policy. Cancelling stops all future renewals.
Your statutory right of withdrawal (where it applies) and our voluntary money-back guarantee are described in the Refunds & Cancellation page, which forms part of these Terms.
7. Prices, taxes, and currency
Prices are shown at checkout and may be displayed in EUR, USD, or another currency depending on your location and the options we make available. For consumers, displayed prices include applicable VAT or sales tax where we are required to charge it; the exact tax and total are shown before you pay.
We may change our prices and introduce new charges for future billing periods. Any change to the recurring price of an existing subscription will be notified to you in advance as required by law, and will only apply to billing periods beginning after the notice period. Price changes never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for. If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.
You are responsible for any bank, card, or currency-conversion fees charged by your payment provider. Promotional or introductory prices apply only for the stated period and revert to the standard price afterwards unless we state otherwise.
8. Payments and billing authority
Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number; card data is handled by Stripe in accordance with its own terms and security standards.
By purchasing a subscription you authorize us and Stripe to charge your chosen payment method for the subscription fee and any applicable taxes, automatically, at the start of each billing period, until you cancel. You must keep your payment details valid and up to date. If a charge fails, we may retry it, suspend access, and/or cancel the subscription, and you remain responsible for amounts properly due. We may also use Stripe to detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized transactions.
9. Acceptable use
You may use the Service only for your own lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree that you will not, and will not attempt to, and will not permit any third party to:
- Break any applicable law or regulation, or infringe the rights (including intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights) of any person when using the Service
- Access, probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related system, or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measure
- Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service, its servers, or networks, including by introducing malware, bots, or automated data-collection tools
- Upload or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, harmful, or infringing, or photographs of other identifiable people without their consent
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, scrape, data-mine, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, models, or underlying data of the Service, except to the limited extent such restriction is prohibited by law
- Use the Service, or any AI Output, to develop, train, or improve a competing product, model, or service, or to resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service
- Misrepresent your identity, impersonate any person, or provide false information; or use the Service on behalf of another person without authority
- Use the Service for any medical, diagnostic, or emergency purpose, or in any way inconsistent with the Medical & AI Disclaimer
10. Your content and the licence you grant us
You retain ownership of the Content you submit to the Service (for example meal photos, food logs, and chat messages). You are solely responsible for your Content and confirm that you have all rights necessary to submit it and that it does not infringe any third-party rights or any law.
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, process, and display your Content solely to the extent necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service and to provide it to you, as further described in our Privacy Policy. This licence ends when your Content is deleted from our systems, except for copies retained for backup, legal, or audit purposes or in anonymised form. We do not use the personal data within your Content to train third-party AI models.
11. Our intellectual property
The Service and all materials within it — including software, source code, design, layout, text, graphics, logos, and the "Macrovelo" name and other trademarks — are owned by ERISBIO SRL or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. You may not copy, modify, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly permitted by these Terms or by mandatory law. You must not remove or obscure any proprietary notice.
12. AI-generated content
Meal plans, coaching answers, food estimates, and other AI Output may be generated automatically using artificial-intelligence systems, including third-party providers. AI systems are probabilistic and can produce information that is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or otherwise unreliable.
AI Output is provided for general informational and educational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or other advice. You are solely responsible for evaluating and verifying AI Output before relying on it, including checking food labels, portion sizes, ingredients, allergens, and suitability for your circumstances. We make no warranty that AI Output is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose, and we are not liable for decisions you make in reliance on it, to the fullest extent permitted by law. See the Medical & AI Disclaimer for further detail.
13. Third-party services and links
The Service relies on, and may contain links to, third-party services and websites (for example Stripe for payments, authentication providers, and AI and infrastructure providers). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties. Your use of a third-party service may be governed by that party's own terms and privacy policy, which we encourage you to review. Linking does not imply our endorsement.
14. Service availability and changes
We work hard to keep the Service available and functioning, but we provide it on an "as available" basis and do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, secure, timely, or error-free. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our reasonable control.
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features or the Service as a whole at any time. Where we permanently discontinue a paid feature you have already purchased for the current period, and this materially reduces what you paid for, we will offer a pro-rata refund or equivalent remedy where required by law.
15. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service, all Content, and all AI Output are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, other than warranties that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.
We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, that any results, weight-loss, health, or fitness outcomes will be achieved, or that defects will be corrected. Any health, dietary, or lifestyle decisions you make based on the Service are made at your own risk and remain your responsibility. Nothing in this section affects your mandatory consumer rights, which we describe in Section 18.
16. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the mandatory law of your country of residence (including your mandatory rights as a consumer).
Subject to the paragraph above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or anticipated savings; (b) we are not liable for any health, medical, or dietary outcome arising from your reliance on meal suggestions, AI Output, or other Content; and (c) our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of the amount you actually paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or EUR 100.
These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory on which a claim is based and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.
17. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, and except to the extent caused by our own breach or fault, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless ERISBIO SRL, its officers, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your breach of these Terms or any law; (b) your misuse of the Service; or (c) Content you submit, including any claim that it infringes a third party's rights. This section does not apply to consumers to the extent the applicable mandatory consumer law does not allow it.
18. Your statutory consumer rights
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these Terms do not affect. In the EU/EEA these include rights under consumer-protection and distance-selling law, including (where applicable) a right of withdrawal, and a legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services. In other regions, including the United States, you may have additional or different non-waivable rights. Where any provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory consumer right, that mandatory right prevails. See our Refunds & Cancellation policy and, for US consumers, our US Consumer Terms addendum.
19. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time from your account settings. Closing your account does not automatically entitle you to a refund except as set out in our Refunds & Cancellation policy or as required by law.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, with immediate effect where we reasonably believe you have materially breached these Terms, where required by law or a competent authority, or where necessary to protect the Service, other users, or third parties. Where proportionate and lawful, we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy a breach. On termination, the licences granted to you end, but any provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 10–18 and 20) will survive.
20. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service, are governed by the laws of Romania (European Union). If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
We want to resolve any problem quickly and fairly — please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it directly. If we cannot resolve it, you may, as a consumer, bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence where the law gives you that right, and you may also use any competent consumer-protection or alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body in your country. In Romania, the competent authority is the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC, anpc.ro). The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform may also be available.
If you are a consumer located in the United States, our US Consumer Terms addendum applies to you in addition to these Terms and, where it conflicts with these Terms for US consumers, the addendum controls — including its provisions on automatic renewal, arbitration, and class-action waiver.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the Service, our business, or the law. We will post the updated Terms with a new "last updated" date. For material changes that affect your rights or an active subscription, we will give you reasonable advance notice (for example by email or in-app) before they take effect, and where the law requires we will ask for your consent. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may cancel and stop using the Service before they take effect; continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
22. General
These Terms, together with the documents they incorporate, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force, and the invalid provision will be replaced by a valid one that most closely reflects its intent. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may assign our rights to an affiliate or successor in connection with a reorganization, merger, or sale, without reducing your rights. Headings are for convenience only.
